Three sites we built to show the work

We are new, so we did not have client sites to show you. We built three instead, start to finish, for businesses we made up.

Every one of these is a real website. We planned it, wrote it, designed it, and coded it the same way we would for a paying client.

The businesses are invented. North Shore Plumbing, Prairie State Auto Works, and Adler Family Law do not exist. Nobody hired us and nobody paid for these. They are labeled as spec projects everywhere they appear on this site, and they always will be.

What is real is the thinking. Each one started with the same question we ask you: what a customer needs to know before they will call this business. The notes under each project are the decisions that came out of the answer.

North Shore Plumbing

A plumbing site built for two people at once: the homeowner with water on the floor and the one shopping for a water heater.

  • Emergency services and planned work split at the top, so a burst pipe never scrolls past a company history.
  • A tap-to-call bar fixed to the bottom of the phone layout, reachable with a wet thumb.
  • Service area written out town by town, because a homeowner in Antioch wants to read the word Antioch.
  • The request form asks for the address and the fixture first, so the call back starts with something useful.

Prairie State Auto Works

A two-bay repair shop site built for a driver who is pulled over somewhere with a warning light on.

  • Services grouped by symptom instead of by part, so a driver can pick without knowing the terminology.
  • Hours in plain text and a tap-for-directions button on every screen.
  • The diagnostic fee stated on the services page, with a short explanation of what it buys.
  • The appointment form is labeled a request, with the call-back window written next to the button.

Adler Family Law

A solo family law practice site built for someone reading at eleven at night before a hard week.

  • Practice areas in plain words on the first screen, so a visitor knows in seconds whether to keep reading.
  • The attorney bio sits above the contact form, because people want to know who they are writing to.
  • Intake wording and the disclaimer sit beside the form, not buried in a footer.
  • A calm palette and wide spacing, so the site reads easily on a phone in a dark room.

What a client project will look like here

When a client agrees to be named, their entry replaces one of these. It will say what the business needed, what we built, and what changed afterward, in the client's own words where they will give them.

We will not put numbers on this page that we cannot back up. If a site brought in more calls, we will say so only when the owner tells us that and agrees to have it printed. Until then the spec label stays.
