Terms of Service

Two monthly plans are offered, both with a $0 website build fee. The Website plan costs $297 per month. The Enhanced plan costs $349 per month and adds online booking, a website chat widget, an auto-reply to new leads, a contact list, and online payments and invoices. Setting up the payment connection carries a one-time $199 charge. Every term in this document applies to both plans.

Each website is coded for the client's business and shown on a temporary review link before it is published.

Billing starts when the client approves the website and it goes live. The first charge is prorated for the number of days left in that calendar month. Later months are billed in advance at the client's plan rate. The recurring collection date and the exact day-count used for proration are confirmed when billing is set up.

Typical delivery is within five days, and client delays can extend it. Five days is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline.

To cancel any service, give notice at least five business days before the end of the month. After cancellation the website stays online through the month that was paid for, plus a five-day grace period.

The monthly plan includes registering and renewing one domain that costs up to $25 per year. If Lake County Web Design registers a domain for a client, the domain transfers to the client. If a client cancels before reaching three months of service, transferring the domain costs a one-time $50 fee. After three months of service, the transfer is free. This three-month condition applies to the domain alone. It is not a minimum service commitment.

A client may use a domain they already own. Depending on the registrar, the client can point the nameservers, add DNS records we provide, or grant administrator or delegated access. Ownership does not have to transfer, and the client does not need to share an account password.

The monthly website service does not transfer the website design to the client. A monthly client may ask for porting for a separate fee. The price and the scope of a port are quoted separately.

Every website includes a blog section and the editor to write, format, and publish posts. Clients may publish their own posts at no extra charge. The base monthly website service does not include recurring blog writing or blog management.

The $25 monthly option covers formatting and publishing up to four posts the client supplies. The $100 monthly option covers writing and image selection for up to four posts. Under the $100 option, the client approves each post or asks for changes before it is published, and the post appears under the client's name.

Unused monthly posts expire at the end of the month and do not roll over.

We make no guarantee about search rankings, lead volume, refunds, or delivery dates. We build the website and its on-site search foundation properly. Results depend on factors outside the website.

The contact form is for business inquiries. Do not use it to send passwords, payment card numbers, unlawful material, malicious code, or sensitive personal information that the inquiry does not need.

Sending the form does not create a client relationship, approve a project, or start billing. Service starts according to the quote or agreement that applies and the launch process described above.
