Terms of Service

The primary offer has a $0 website build fee and costs $297 per month. Each website is coded for the client's business and presented on a temporary URL for review before publication.

Billing begins when the client approves the website and it is published live. The first month's charge is prorated based on the number of days remaining in that calendar month. Later service periods are billed in advance. The recurring collection date and exact proration day-count method are confirmed during billing setup.

Typical website delivery is within five days, subject to client delays. This timeframe is an estimate and is not a guaranteed deadline.

Cancellation of any service requires notice at least five business days before the end of the month. After cancellation, the website remains online through the paid month and for an additional five-day grace period.

The monthly plan includes registration and annual renewal of one domain costing up to $25 per year. If Lake County Web Design registers a domain for a client, that domain is the client's to keep after three months of service. The three-month domain condition is not a minimum service commitment.

A client may use an existing domain by pointing nameservers, adding provided DNS records, or granting administrator or delegated access if the registrar supports it. The client does not need to transfer ownership or share an account password.

The monthly website service does not transfer the website design to the client. A monthly client may request porting for a separate fee. The price and detailed porting terms are quoted separately.

One-off fixed-price websites are quoted by project. After final payment, the complete website code belongs to the client, who may take it to another provider. A fixed-price purchase covers the code only. Hosting, updates, and website care are optional and separately priced.

Clients may create and publish their own blog posts. The base monthly website service does not include recurring blog writing or management.

The $25 monthly blog option includes formatting and publication of up to four client-supplied posts. The $100 monthly option includes writing and image selection for up to four posts. Under the $100 option, the client approves each post or requests changes before publication, and the post appears under the client's name.

Unused monthly posts expire at month end and do not roll over.

The website contact form is for business inquiries. Do not use it to send passwords, payment card numbers, unlawful material, malicious code, or sensitive personal information that is not needed for the inquiry.

Submitting a form does not create a client relationship, approve a project, or begin billing. Service begins according to the applicable quote or agreement and the confirmed launch process.
